Happy to answer your questions.
1) No. Our parents raised us to embrace individuality and be different. So, from the get-go, I made an effort to do different things as her. I even had a boy haircut when I was a kid and played with blocks and Ninja Turtles to try and be different from my twin, who was more girly and into the more stereotypical girl toys. However, once I got over my boy phase, it was frustrating when people would confuse us. I got angry because we're different people, and I didn't want to be seen as the same.
2) No, never. Perhaps when we were babies, but I wouldn't be able to remember that. My twin had major complications at birth, and I did not, so we were immediately separated once we were born.
3) Definitely as individuals. Almost too much to the point that I was always looking for ways to be different.

Any other questions? Send an email to alexaNhart[at]gmail[dot]com. Cheers!

Hi, I'm doing a research project for my health class and I was wandering if you would answer a few questions about being an identical twin.

Was it hard trying to find your own identity?
Did you ever have separation anxiety?
Did your parents treat you as individuals or as a unit? How so?

Thanks Alexa for your review of the event. Glad you enjoyed it. I know you sent me a note a few weeks ago about doing an interview - sorry I haven't been able to get back to you. If you are still interested I could probably do it around Thanksgiving!

Thanks for sharing this tip, Eliza! Fun to see it in video format too.

I've recently started using the Pomodoro Technique (using a timer to work in 25 minute blocks) and have found my productivity to be much greater. It's so helpful to begin the time with a clear task and desired outcome.
