Facebook Advanced Search For Friends

A couple months ago, when I was gearing up for my trip to Hawaii, I wanted to get ready by looking at some of my friends’ pics of Hawaii. The problem? I wasn’t sure who specifically had gone to Hawaii.

I felt like I was searching for a needle in a haystack. I clicked on friends who I thought might have gone, sifted through their albums, and either got lucky or unlucky. And then I got a little frustrated. Why in the world does Facebook not have an advanced search for friends? They used to have a general advanced search for everyone, but they got rid of it.

Facebook needs to bring back the advanced search so people can search their friends’ profiles and pictures. For example, if I want to know which friends have picture albums of Paris, I can just type “Paris” in the photo search box, and up pops a bunch of friends with Paris photo albums. The same goes for if I want to see which friends are listed as single, which friends are in law school, etc.

I sent this suggestion to Facebook a few weeks ago. Hopefully someone will make it happen.
